DP Ruto has mourned the father of Lamu Senator Anwar Loitiptip.

“We have lost a selfless and progressive man who moulded a generation of gifted leaders. Mzee David Kiwaka, father to Lamu Senator Anwar Loitiptip, was hardworking, cause-driven and proudly served the police service and the people of Momonyot ward as a councillor with dedication. 

May God grant the family, their loved ones and the people of Laikipia and Lamu counties strength and comfort to bear with the loss. Rest In Peace, Mzee Kiwaka.”

At the Karen Residence in Nairobi County, Ruto said while  received Kirinyaga Governor H.E. Anne Waiguru into the Hustler Nation together with 25 MCAs. Also present was the County Assembly Speaker Anthony Gathumbi.

Matiang’i asks leaders to take responsibility for supporters’ actions during elections

Interior Cabinet Secretary Fred Matiang’i has said that leaders will be held personally liable for actions their supporters will be involved in.

Speaking during a meeting with the Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission, the Judiciary, and officials from the Interior Ministry, the CS said action will be taken against such leaders, including petitioning the IEBC to disqualify them from vying for public office.

“We will be presenting to the relevant agencies evidence and information we have of individual political actors who are engaged in incitement and mobilizing groups of people to disrupt meetings and they should take individual responsibility,” Matiang’i said.
