Is Kanini Kega poised to be Raila’s running mate?

One of the people who have been accompanying the Former Prime Minister Raila Odinga in almost all his campaigns is the Kieni Member of Parliament Kanini Kega.

Kanini has been with Raila in Central Region, Coast, Rift Valley and will be with Raila in his tour of Nyamira County starting today.

The vocal Kieni second term legislator has has been touted to be among those being fronted to be Raila’s running mate in the forthcoming general elections.

This is after what he has been doing going out all the way to be with Raila in the camopaign trail is anything top go by. Kega has also been apologizing to Raila in every rally on behalf of Mt Kenya for not embracing him before. Very rare of Kega who in 2013 and 2017 was a fierce critic of the former PM.

Other who have been fronted to be Raila’s running mates include but not limited to Health CS Mutahi Kagwe, former Gatanga MP Peter Kenneth, Laikipia Governor Ndiritu Muriithi, his Nakuru counterpart Lee Kinyanjui and former Minister Martha Karua.

However, Karua has been adamant and has insisted that she will seek to dislodge her Kirinyaga political nemesis the undecided Governor Anne Waiguru from the seat.
