COTU boss Francis Atwoli has warned Kenyans against following or even supporting ANC party leader Musalia Mudavadi.

Mudavadi snubs key OKA retreat in Naivasha

“Anyone who follows Mudavadi will be lost the way Ruto supporters are lost. Uhuru invited him for a lunch he didn’t turn up. His OKA friends to review the roles of Technical team, he remained at home. Is he waiting for them to bring leadership to his home?” Stated Atwoli

Shocking Revelations of How Nkedianye and Team Diverted Karua’s Campaign Funds

Fresh allegations have emerged of how Jubilee Candidates in Kajiado County ‘swindled’ money meant for Azimio la Umoja Running mates’ campaigns in the County.

According to reports the Jubilee camp led by David Nkedianye diverted cash meant for the Fundraiser of Martha Karua’ s Presidential activities in the Country.

The move has led to an uproar in the region raising questions on Nkedianye’s Commitment to the Azimio la Umoja Coalition.

A senior Jubilee Party Official who had lobbied for the money from a top party financier handed the Sh 5 Million to Gubernatorial Candidate David Nkedienye and Kajiado North MP Joseph Manje.

The money was meant to boost the appearance of the Jubilee team at the Fundraiser as a show of solidarity.

Ms Karua who will be Deputy President in a Raila Odinga Presidency was scheduled to have a tour of Kajiado County today, Saturday 28, but the tour was postponed to next week.

Azimio la Umoja strategists were shocked when Nkedienye, Manje and 5 Parliamentary Aspirants boycotted the Harambee and failed to remit the money.

An official at Azimio La Umoja secretariat   said they were yet to reach Nkedienye and Manje as they were said to be in off network areas.

“The Sh 5 Million was to be split into two’s, shs 3 Million was to be contributed at the Martha Karua Harambee. Sh 2 Million was to help organize for party activities and support the Candidates to mobilize for the cancelled Karua visit this weekend,” said the official.

Nkedienye was to give Sh 1Million, Senatorial candidate Moses Sakuda Sh 500,000, MP Manje 400, 000, Women Rep Rakita Simayiai Sh 300,000, and the four other MP candidates Sh 200,000.

The Azimio La Umoja team said they wanted the Jubilee team to be part of the Karua journey as is happening in the Mt Kenya Region where Karua has been received by Jubilee candidates.

Today, we established that after boycotting Karua’s Harambee, the Jubilee team headed to Oloitokitok for the launch of Parliamentary Candidate John Parit Ole Sing’aru.

Parit’ s family led by his father, Philip Ole Sing’aru, a former area MP, loudly protested the low turnout at the launch despite receiving  money for the event from the party.

However, Nkedienye’s rival, Governor Joseph Ole Lenku attended the fundraiser with several ODM candidates and contributed a personal donation of Sh 1 Million.

Martha Karua brought oomph to a humdrum Azimio campaigns

Barely two months ago, Martha Karua, the no nonsense lawyer cum politician was nowhere within President Uhuru Kenyatta’s succession matrix.

Thanks to her nomination as Raila Odinga’s running mate on May 16, she suddenly hit the limelight again.

Her nomination brought oomph to Azimio’s humdrum campaigns that had left many supporters of the Coalition party complaining.

The former Justice and Constitutional Affairs Minister in late President Mwai Kibaki’s government hit the road running the following day with a tour of her home county Kirinyaga, for a thanksgiving service.

The following days saw her visit Tharaka Nithi County, Embu County, Murang’a County, and Nyeri the backyard of Deputy President William Ruto’s running mate Rigathi Gachagua.

Her inroads in the vote rich region made Deputy President William Ruto and his Kenya Kwanza Alliance brigade go back to the drawing board.

How Martha Karua brought confusion in Ruto’s camp:  Martha Karua effect? Is Kenya Kwanza Alliance feeling the heat from the iron lady?

Infact Ruto had to immediately embark on bottom-up economic model town hall forums in each of the counties Karua had traversed.

This was the first time Deputy President William Ruto was feeling the real political test in a region he has enjoyed massive support from, for close to four years now.

Political analysts believe the entry of Martha Karua, and with the nomination of Mathira MP Rigathi Gachagua as William Ruto’s running mate, tides were bound to change.

Karua is well known for her exemplary career both in the legal field and politics.

At only 24, the former Gichugu MP was a magistrate.

Unlike Rigathi, Karua hasn’t been mentioned in any serious scandal ever since she joined politics.

Rigathi has a corruption case in court but it won’t deter his political ambition:  Rigathi Gachagua, Babu Owino won’t be barred from vying

Her toughness came out well during the 2007 Presidential votes tallying at the Bomas of Kenya.

She was by then, one of late President Mwai Kibaki’s fiercest defenders.

After the formation of grand coalition government, Karua resigned from Kibaki’s administration citing frustrations from the late President’s inner circle.

With two months left before Kenyans head to the poll, will she maintain the tempo, take it much higher or will Ruto’s influence finally overcome her?

Time will tell.

“Their support isn’t genuine” – Moses Kuria tells Raila

Gatundu South MP Moses Kuria’s sentiments that Mt Kenya region’s support for Raila isn’t genuine, if true could cause chaos in Azimio La Umoja One Kenya Alliance Coalition party.

The Coalition party brings together President Uhuru Kenyatta and ODM party boss Raila Odinga, who’s also the coalition party’s Presidential flag bearer.

The legislator claims there’s a hidden agenda in President Uhuru Kenyatta’s support for Mr Odinga’s bid.

Speaking during the Murang’a economic forum, the Chama Cha Kazi party leader warned that the leaders purporting to campaign for the former Prime Minister were only backing their own, his running mate, Martha Karua, whom they hope will replace him in future.

Kuria added that the leaders were secretly going behind Odinga’s back on the ground and that they would eventually edge him out should the time come.

The MP is on recording advising Mt Kenya leaders to allow Martha Karua be the region’s spokesperson as President Uhuru Kenyatta prepares to leave office.

He still maintains he has a lot of respect for the former Gichugu MP but says she can’t sell Raila Odinga in Central Kenya.

Odinga chose Karua, dropping his longtime political ally, Wiper party boss Kalonzo Musyoka.

This led to the former Vice President declaring that he would be vying in August alongside Raila Odinga, Deputy President William Ruto among many others.

He even went ahead to unveil a running mate named Mr Andrew Leteipa Sunkuli.

Mr Leteipa is a brother to former Cabinet Minister in late President Daniel Moi’s regime.

That has since been dealt a major blow by Independent Electoral Boundaries Commission (IEBC)

Kalonzo whom our sources can now reveal is back to Azimio, was barred from contesting.

Wafula Chebukati kills hope of Kalonzo Musyoka vying in August:  Kalonzo Musyoka barred, Raila and Ruto cleared

During the unveiling of Martha Karua as his running mate, Raila Odinga nominated Kalonzo for the position of Chief Minister in his government, that’s if he won the August 9 contest.

Are you in agreement with Moses Kuria that President Uhuru Kenyatta’s support for Raila isn’t genuine?
